Undelete xD-Picture Card is a file recovery utility. It can be used to restore data in two different ways. First, it can scan your connected volumes in search of files that you may have accidentally deleted. And, second, it can recover your erased partitions. When you first run the application, it will ask you which one of the aforementioned tasks you would like to carry out and a different window will be opened for each one of them.
The first mode lets you select one of your volumes and see a list of the files that the application can recover from them. It doesn't matter if the volume is an xD memory card, an SD memory card, an USB flash drive or even an iPod; the application will work the same regardless of the type of media. It doesn't let you scan your internal hard drive, though. You can click on any of the files that the application has found to save it back to another drive.
The second mode is almost identical to the first one. The main difference is that it should let you recover partitions from external drivers. You can't scan your main drive in this mode either.
The trial version of this app can't be used to recover any files, but it lets you see a list of all the files that the application thinks it can recover.
In conclusion, this application seems to be able to fulfill the task it is created for. Sadly, I wasn't able to test it because of the limitations of the trial version. I was also disappointed by the fact that there aren't any preview or filtering features.
